Meet T. Carring

Greetings, ladies, gentlemen, everything in between, and others, I am T. Carring, also known as Ashley Carrington. I will not bore you with my life story of abuse and mental illness, for I am not defined by what has happened to me or what I have. Rather, I prefer to be defined by what I have done that shapes who I am as a person. What I am is a loving, caring woman who is resilient in both body and soul, if not in mind.

Join me in my crazy scheme to become an author, and perhaps make friends along the way.

Forged in the Dying Light

Princess Emily Ericsson was only nine years old when the very foundations of her life were shaken to her core. Questions about her identity, the meaning of freedom, and the deviation her family had wrought upon humanity led her to a revelation. A princess who was never meant to be saved should burn her kingdom to the ground. After all, if freedom will kill her country, does her country deserve to survive?

Annealed in Shattered Dreams

It has been eight years since Princess Emily’s coup. Now going by Prince Lloyd, the former princess faces an uphill battle to become king of his crumbling nation. With the legitimacy of Lloyd's heirs being questioned, was it a surprise when Lilith made a power play for her throne back? Can Lloyd save Norfarland a second time, or will his kingdom finally shatter beyond repair?

Ground in Bloody War

The war is at a stalemate. Lloyd has taken part in many battles and bears the scars to show for it. Lloyd is determined to end the slavery of his people, but if fighting a civil war will kill more than it would save, is there really a point? With the birth of his youngest daughter in sight, and a prophecy long since forgotten overhead, can Lloyd pull his country together in time to stop the inevitable?

Freedom Hard Won

In a world of slavery and oppression, not even life is a guarantee, and no one knew this better than Iris. After her mentor's passing, Iris takes on the role of Rose, the leader of the slaves in Ettra Verna’s Mining Encampment. Can Iris unite her divided people and lead them to freedom, or will she crumble under the weight of responsibility? Does she even want to be Rose? The nights are long, and the forest is pitch black, but Iris can take on even death with her friends and family by her side because not even death is a guarantee.

Fight for Equality

With freedom secured and Rose’s people safe, it should be easy to integrate the formerly enslaved together. However, life was never easy. With protests sparking like wildfires and the homeless population numbering in the tens of thousands, Rose has her work cut out for her. Will Rose combine the populace under one goal, or will the city burn to the ground? Can Rose handle the responsibilities of motherhood and as the leader of her people? Or will a fiend dig their claws into the population of Treetop City? Only one thing’s for certain: Rose’s family is in danger, and she would kill to protect them.

A Family to Remember

Six months after the fiend attacked, Rose gets news that Emperor Sephiroth and Imperial Consort Lloyd have reached the entrance of Ettra Verna Forest. Now faced with a family she could only dream of as a child, Rose will be forced to face the unfortunate facts of what having such a family entails. Will her parents greet her with open arms? With her husband’s fate on the line, will Rose be able to perform a miracle once again, or will Michael face the ultimate price for his past transactions? Rose is certain of one thing: with family by her side, she can face the world. Even if that meant starting a war, she could not win.
